Tips and Tricks to Boost Healthy Eating Habit of Kids


   As a Parent, a challenging task is to improve the healthy eating habits of our growing kid. it's only possible when we choose the right plan for healthy food habits. We need to develop healthy eating by ourselves first so that children can adopt these habits. Most parents understand the importance of healthy food, nutritional food for their children.
                                    
    It is the prime thing to know for all of us, instead of throwing unhealthy food from home, buy healthy food from the market. Research says unhealthy food habits increase many health issues in adulthood. 

  So here are some Tips and Tricks to avoid unhealthy food consuming behavior of your kid and boost their Healthy food Eating habit-      

1. Bring Healthy food at home- Avoid buying Junk food in bulk if wants, then take a small packet, don't buy food that consumes a lot of calories, and oily snacks. Bring some healthy snacks like puffed rice, popcorn without too much cheese, peanut butter, dry fruits, and fruits.

2. Add Fruits and veggies- Start adding fruits and vegetables in dinner like fruit salad, veg salad, or vegetable soup instead of heavy diets like potato, rice, and more carbohydrate food.
 
3. Start good habits early- Start all these new things in early childhood will help your child to be habitual with more fruits veggies and nuts. Make sure all fruits are easily available to your child don't hide them, and you have to consume it from time to time so that your child will also do the same.

4. Small Portion of Food- Serve Food on the small plates don't give them too much or full of the plate, it decreases the interest of eating.
A small portion of Nutritious food is important rather than a full plate at a time. 

5. Don't Push to Finish- As a Parent, we expect from our child to finish his/her Tiffen or meal. we always push them to eat whole served food at a time, please don't push them if they begin to feel full. They should understand how much they have to consume.

6. Don't Say no to Junk Food- If your child tastes sweet, salty, and creamy junk food, don't ben this. do one thing make them understand "these are not for good health but if you want to eat, have these with us and once in a week or some specific time schedule". Because this type of food will attract children outside of the home also.

7. Healthy Options- If children are not eating a particular food before giving them options make sure your other options are also healthy for them, like if children refuse to eat apple give them fewer options of other fruit like banana or papaya. don't give them many options, it converts into a habit.

8. Drinks- Give them coconut water, milk, juice, yogurt, lemon water instead of other soft drinks. Tell them about the importance of consuming water for health.

9. Involvement and Encouragment- Involve your child with you when going for the market to buy groceries, ask them to choose fruits, vegetables, or other groceries, make sure they choose healthy things. Take their help in the kitchen, like give them to wash vegetable or fruit, insist them to do small work with you in the kitchen. 

                 Encourage them when they start eating nutritious food, help them to improve their habits of eating. If possible set a goal to have at least one meal together.
